This route is circular. It's a long one but it can be done in one day. You will leave Roses and go to Castelló d'Empúries crossing the natural park of Aiguamolls (marshes). It’s a charming medieval town, where we recommend a visit to the church of Santa María and some more interesting cultural points that we will recommend you. Then you will ride to Peralada, cycling through beautiful Catalan country side. The historical character of Peralada is reflected in every step. Its narrow streets, museums, the cloister of Santo Domingo and the casino impressive castle with its gardens, library, museum and glass of wine, give it a unique feel.
Then you will pass through the sleepy hamlet of Vilanova de la Muga with the 12th century Church of Santa Eulalia. Coinciding with the cycle route of Muga River, you will arrive to Empuriabrava (the biggest marina of the Mediterranean). Again, you will cross the natural park of Aiguamolls (marshes) to reach Roses.
